LizRyan Presents the Crystal Candy Collection by Robert Wander
Robert Wander is celebrated for his matte-finished Etruscan designs as well as his Crystal Candy Collection. Moved by Greek and Roman influences, he developed a series of insect and bug designs comprised of hand-carved colored stones accented with diamonds. A resident of Honolulu, where he pursues orchids, marlin, and his individualistic gemstone designs, he studied the jewelry arts in Paris.
Limited in its production, extravagantly fashioned, sumptuous in detail, Robert Wander’s Crystal Candy Collection pays homage to the beauty derived from each gemstone’s natural imperfections. Each is faceted and polished to accentuate its striking – and altogether unique – character. No two pieces in the Crystal Candy Collection are the same.
Mirror cuts reveal the interior depths of the emerald, green and yellow beryl, aquamarine, morganite, imperial topaz, and tourmaline stone to stunning effect. A final surface cut cleaves one edge to a rough face, allowing its “broken” detail to reflect throughout the stone.
